It has once been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but I'm only after two...."picture perfect." As most of us already known this can be a very wide spectrum depending on the viewer. Let me assure you that although highly confident in my aspiration to becoming a great photographer I am just scratching the surface.I do believe in getting it right the first time and if not then retake the SHOT! I am opposed to using post processing for correction. Not stealing any of the limelight from the latter, I do realize technology has its perks but has been MY experience to get it right if you have the time (and what’s that other word??? oh yeah, patience!) before you dive into the ever so not ending world of editing!
Through The Lens
I myself do use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to sharpen up my images, however I use filters to retain my color and change motion appearance. For Color I use a Hoya Circular Polarizer and for motion doing long exposures I use a Hoya Neutral Density Filter. Combining them you can achieve remarkable results using the proper settings on your camera, i.e. shutter speed and aperture or f-stop. Again it just depends on what type of look you are set out to obtain. Information about how to use these can be found on YouTube.
